"The Nightingale" is an original composition, then there are about 10 arrangements in various piano scores. String and drum parts (for most?) are also included. Most of the items are dedicated to a Miss Dorothy Watson, described as "La Belle Siffleuse" but not to be confused with the famous Alice Shaw, who was known by that title (see Wikipedia). Van-Lennep has an entry in Who's Who in Music 1915, 35 and 37 and doesn't appear in later editions, the 1915 entry is quite detailed and states: "Mr. Van-Lennep has a private orchestra of his own"
